The specifications of the CardiAssist system and couches are as follows:

• CardiAssist ECP System – 22 inches wide
• Treatment bed – 36 inches wide, 78 inches long x 2
• Power requirements: 105–125v, 60 Hz, 20 amps on a dedicated line.

This is a total width of 94 inches which allows for ample space at the sides and base of the beds for patients and technicians to move around in a standard sized treatment room.

The beds are 6’5” in length, a minimum width room of 8’ will allow easy passage for patients and therapists.

Patients will relax when they become accustomed to the treatment, the following suggestions will ensure that their ECP treatment is pleasant and runs smoothly.

• Light dimmer – many patients will sleep through their treatment. A darkened room will help them to rest.
• TV, Music – patients will spend about 35 hours at your facility, having a television, radio, CD player and headphone sets etc will help relax the patients and aid in ensuring comfortable treatments.

Most importantly, your patients will be coming daily to your practice / center for seven weeks. The choice of your operator is a most important one. Your patients will enjoy their treatment sessions and in fact miss them when the treatment ends. Your operator should be very people oriented and attentive to the patients.
